Third Wheel located in “the lanes” off Marsden Rd. Great place for good coffee/tea and home-made treats for morning tea.
The Breeze Cafe and Grill Te Tii (just past Waitomo garage). Good for breakfast and lunch.
The Blue Door Marsden Road. 15-20 minute walk along the beach from your unit dependent upon the tide (alternative route via the main road). Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Opua
Marina Cafe in the marina complex. Closed on Tuesdays. Good breakfast and lunch menus. Good cabinet food for morning tea. Closes at 3:00pm. Often have live music on a Sunday lunchtime – check their facebook page.
Kerikeri
The Honey House set next to the Kerikeri river beside the Stone House. Closed Sundays and Mondays.
Kerikeri Bakehouse 334 Kerikeri Rd, Kerikeri. Best pies in Northland, great food. Locals queue out the door.

Charlotte’s Kitchen on the Paihia wharf beyond Zane Grey’s. Open for lunch and dinner.
JFC (Just Fish & Chips) Marsden Road. Seafood restaurant
Madly Indian 1 Joyces Rd, Paihia. Excellent Indian food. You go through The Paihia Club to reach this venue (upstairs). You can order online. Closed on Sundays.
Terra fine dining restaurant. Excellent food for a special occasion. Degustation menu with or without wine accompanying is available. Access via the lanes off Williams Rd. Closed Mon and Tue. Expensive.
Pizza Shack breakfast and pizzas. Eat in or takeaway.
Russell
Sage restaurant at Paroa Bay winery – take the car ferry and drive out to the winery or book their minibus and take the passenger ferry across to board the bus.
Omata Estate another vineyard. Pizzas and platters.
